Senior IT Project Manager

About the role

Food For The Poor is seeking a senior IT Project Manager to lead complex technology initiatives that support its humanitarian mission across the Caribbean and Latin America. The role oversees the full project lifecycle, ensuring alignment with business goals, budget, schedule and quality.

Key responsibilities

• Lead multiple concurrent IT projects from initiation through closure, developing integrated plans covering scope, schedule, budget, resources and risk.
• Apply appropriate delivery methodologies (Agile, Scrum, Waterfall or hybrid) and manage cross‑project dependencies and resource constraints.
• Manage vendor relationships, including RFPs, contracts, performance governance, issue resolution and invoice validation.
• Build and monitor detailed project budgets, forecast financials, track variances and report to finance and senior leadership.
• Facilitate steering committees, executive updates and stakeholder communications, ensuring clear decision‑making and governance.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, Engineering, Business or related field.
• 6‑8 years of progressive IT project management experience, including senior‑level vendor management.
• Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish.
• PMP certification required; Agile, Scrum, SAFe or ITIL certifications preferred.
• Experience in nonprofit or international organizations is a plus.
