Senior Software Engineer (Control Plane & Orchestration) – Remote (Latin America)

About the role

We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer specialized in control‑plane and orchestration to join our client’s engineering team remotely from Latin America. You will work closely with designers and engineers to build large‑scale, cloud‑native platforms that power distributed infrastructure.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement control‑plane services and orchestration workflows for multi‑tenant Kubernetes environments.
• Develop robust, versioned RESTful APIs consumed by internal and external engineering teams.
• Build event‑driven and message‑driven architectures with strong emphasis on reliability and idempotency.
• Deploy and operate cloud‑native applications, ensuring high availability and fault tolerance.
• Implement observability (metrics, logging, tracing, monitoring) and collaborate with SRE teams.
• Apply Infrastructure as Code and GitOps practices to manage air‑gapped and regulated clusters.
• Contribute to internal developer platforms and platform‑engineering solutions.

Required profile

• 5+ years of professional software engineering experience, focused on control‑plane and orchestration.
• Advanced English proficiency and a completed four‑year degree.
• Proven experience designing large‑scale distributed systems and platform APIs.
• Strong background in Kubernetes, including Operators, Controllers, and CRDs.
• Hands‑on experience with multi‑tenant, multi‑cluster Kubernetes deployments and cloud‑native production environments.
