Student Finance Advisor – Financial Aid Support

About the role

We are seeking a student‑focused and detail‑oriented Student Finance Advisor to provide first‑level financial guidance and support throughout the student journey. You will assist students with financial readiness, documentation, funding requirements, and finance‑related registration needs.

Key responsibilities

• Respond to student inquiries via phone, email, chat, and case‑management systems.
• Provide first‑level guidance on financial aid readiness, funding requirements, required documentation, and registration readiness.
• Conduct outbound outreach regarding missing documents, pending requirements, and upcoming deadlines.
• Assist students with document verification, FAFSA steps, institutional funding requirements, and payment readiness.
• Review and process assigned requests, cases, queues, and outreach campaigns according to established procedures.
• Maintain complete and accurate records of student interactions, case notes, dispositions, and outcomes.
• Coordinate with Admissions, Academic Advising, Registration, Student Accounts, Financial Aid, and other institutional teams.

Required profile

• Previous experience in financial aid, student finance, higher education, customer service, advising, banking, or administrative support is preferred.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
• Strong customer service, active‑listening, and problem‑solving abilities.
• Ability to manage multiple cases, deadlines, follow‑ups, and priorities.
• Comfortable handling inbound and outbound calls in a professional environment.
• Ability to handle confidential student and financial information responsibly.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
• Ability to learn new systems quickly.
