Técnico de Campo en Electrónica y Seguridad

About the role

Soluciones DM is looking for a field technician to install, configure, and service electronic security systems across Tegucigalpa and surrounding areas. You will work directly with clients on residential, commercial, and corporate projects, providing on‑site support and ensuring system reliability.

Key responsibilities

• Install and configure analog and IP CCTV cameras (dome, bullet, PTZ), DVR/NVR units, and remote access applications.
• Set up intrusion alarm panels, keypads, motion sensors, magnetic contacts, sirens and communicators.
• Deploy and test perimeter electric fences, including energizers, isolators, line tensioning, grounding and voltage checks.
• Install vehicle barriers and access‑control hardware such as motors, magnetic loops, remote controls and keypads.
• Perform cable routing using EMT conduit, cable trays, and terminate RJ45, UTP and coaxial cables; use multimeters and network testers.
• Provide direct on‑site client interaction, complete service reports and support other technical areas as needed.

Required profile

• 2–4 years of proven experience in electronic security installations.
• Basic networking knowledge (IP addressing, router configuration, port forwarding).
• Valid driver’s license; own motorcycle or vehicle preferred (field work is ~80% travel).
• Willingness to work on emergencies outside regular hours and at heights.
• Technical high school diploma in electronics, electricity, IT or telecommunications.
