Técnico de Sostenibilidad WASH

About the role

World Vision is seeking a Sustainability Technician (WASH) to support safe water initiatives across Honduras. The role focuses on improving access to clean water, sanitation and hygiene in vulnerable communities, schools and health facilities.

Key responsibilities

• Implement safe water projects and strengthen digital monitoring of WASH initiatives in target communities.
• Collaborate with local water boards, municipalities and community organisations to ensure sustainable water management.
• Conduct community training on water governance, hygiene practices and project maintenance.
• Collect, analyse and report project data using digital tools to support evidence‑based decision making.

Required profile

• University or technical degree in Education Sciences, Social Promotion, Water & Sanitation, Agronomy, Forestry or related fields.
• At least three years of experience in rural development, water board strengthening, and coordination with local authorities.
• Proven experience in community training, water governance and WASH project management.
• Ability to operate a 4x4 vehicle and a motorcycle with a valid licence.

Required skills

• Proficiency with digital data collection and information management tools.
• Experience using project management software for WASH programmes.
• Valid 4x4 and motorcycle driving licence.
