UH‑60 Aircraft Mechanic II – Maintenance & Repair

About the role

The UH‑60 Aircraft Mechanic II is responsible for performing maintenance, modifications, and repairs on UH‑60 helicopters. The role includes inspecting, troubleshooting, and restoring both airframe and engine components to ensure safe operation.

Key responsibilities

• Repair, replace, and rebuild aircraft structures and functional components using hand and power tools, including shears, sheet‑metal brakes, welding equipment, rivet guns, and drills.
• Conduct 100‑hour, progressive, isochronal, phase, periodic, and other scheduled inspections on airframes and engines, diagnosing issues such as cracked cylinders, oil leaks, and turbine blade damage.
• Remove, disassemble, inspect, repair, and reinstall engines and related systems using hoists, forklifts, and specialized testing equipment.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records, logbook entries, and ensure compliance with FAA licensing requirements.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid A&P license (or equivalent experience) and at least two years of aviation maintenance experience, including three years on rotary‑wing aircraft and two years on UH‑60 specific maintenance.
• US citizenship and a valid US passport for facility credentials.
• Physical ability to work in demanding environments, lift 50 lb+, and pass respirator fit testing.

Required skills

• Proficiency with aircraft maintenance manuals, service bulletins, and technical publications.
• Hands‑on experience with torque wrenches, dial indicators, micrometers, and specialized engine test equipment (ignition analyzer, compression checker, distributor timer, ammeter, Jetcal tester).
• Knowledge of electrical systems, hydraulic and pneumatic components, and aircraft‑specific tools.
• Ability to operate forklifts, hoists, and other ground support equipment safely.
