Desarrollador Backend Java - Honduras

About the role

We are looking for a Java Backend Developer to join our team in Tegucigalpa, Honduras. You will work in a hybrid model, collaborating with a close‑knit group that values continuous learning and personal well‑being while delivering robust banking solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain scalable microservices using Java and Spring Boot.
• Integrate new functionalities with existing internal systems and external REST APIs.
• Implement business rules and orchestrations to ensure flawless operational flows.
• Handle errors, guarantee data persistence, and apply observability practices (logging and monitoring).
• Write exhaustive unit tests to maintain high code quality and stability.
• Produce detailed technical documentation and support production releases.

Required profile

• Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum 3 years of proven experience developing Java/Spring Boot applications in a microservices architecture.
• Willingness to work three days per week on‑site in Tegucigalpa.
• Previous experience in the banking sector is a strong plus.
