Técnico/a de Proyecto WASH-BP

About the role

World Vision Honduras is seeking a dedicated WASH Project Technician to support sustainable water, sanitation and hygiene interventions in the Intibucá region. The role combines technical expertise, community capacity building, and coordination with local stakeholders to improve access to safe water.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct territorial diagnostics to assess water and sanitation needs.
• Strengthen community capacities through training and facilitation.
• Coordinate with municipal authorities, community groups, and inter‑municipal entities.
• Provide technical assistance and monitoring for WASH projects.
• Prepare and manage project budgets and technical reports.

Required profile

• Technical degree in Social Promotion, Civil Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum three years experience in rural development, water board formation, and water‑project construction.
• Experience working with community structures, municipalities and inter‑municipal groups.
• Ability to facilitate community training on water, sanitation and hygiene.
• Valid driver’s license for 4x4 vehicles and motorcycles.

Required skills

• Proficiency with AutoCAD, WaterCAD and EPANET.
• Experience using budgeting software for project cost estimation.
• Competence in operating a total station for topographic surveys.
