Bilingual Medical Insurance & Administrative Specialist – Orthopedics

About the role

We are looking for a bilingual Medical Insurance and Administrative Specialist to support our high‑volume orthopedics practice. The role blends front‑desk reception duties with comprehensive insurance verification, prior‑authorization handling, and patient scheduling, all within a fast‑paced environment.

Key responsibilities

• Manage a large volume of inbound and outbound calls, addressing new patient inquiries, follow‑ups, and re‑engagement of inactive patients.
• Convert inquiries into scheduled appointments, maintaining proactive follow‑up until confirmation.
• Perform end‑to‑end insurance verification, explain patient financial responsibility, and document findings.
• Secure prior authorizations and process claims for commercial plans (HMO/PPO, Aetna, Cigna, Humana) and personal‑injury cases (PIP/Workers’ Comp).
• Utilize eClinicalWorks to manage calendars, schedule appointments, and ensure accurate documentation.
• Build rapport with patients, attorneys, and referring physicians to support practice growth.

Required profile

• Minimum 1 year of hands‑on experience with eClinicalWorks.
• Background in orthopedics, neurology, or pain medicine.
• Proven ability to handle high‑volume medical calls in a metrics‑driven setting.
• Strong organizational skills and self‑motivation.

What we offer

• Full‑time contractor role (40 hours/week)
