Bilingual Medical Insurance & Administrative Specialist – Orthopedics

About the role

We are looking for an energetic bilingual professional to join our orthopedics practice as a Medical Insurance and Administrative Specialist. The role combines high‑volume phone support, insurance verification, prior authorizations, and eClinicalWorks scheduling to ensure smooth patient intake and practice growth.

Key responsibilities

• Handle a large volume of inbound and outbound calls, addressing new patient inquiries, follow‑ups, and re‑engagement of inactive patients.
• Convert inquiries into scheduled appointments, maintaining proactive follow‑up until the patient is booked.
• Perform end‑to‑end insurance verification, explain coverage details, deductibles, copays and out‑of‑pocket maximums to patients.
• Secure prior authorizations and process claims for commercial plans (HMO/PPO, Aetna, Cigna, Humana) and personal injury cases (PIP/Workers’ Comp).
• Manage calendars, scheduling, and documentation within eClinicalWorks.
• Build rapport with patients and referral sources such as attorneys and physicians.

Required profile

• At least one year of hands‑on experience with eClinicalWorks.
• Background in orthopedics, neurology or pain medicine.
• Proven ability to manage the full insurance verification cycle and prior authorizations for both commercial and personal injury claims.
• Demonstrated success handling high‑volume medical calls with a clear, warm English phone presence.
• Highly organized, self‑motivated and comfortable with performance‑based metrics.

Required skills

• eClinicalWorks (eCW) proficiency.

What we offer

• Full‑time contractor position (40 hours/week) with a starting rate of $6 per hour, Monday‑Friday, Eastern Time.
