Child Protection Officer (Emergencies) – NO-1

About the role

UNICEF Honduras seeks a national Child Protection Officer in Emergencies to provide technical, operational and administrative assistance for child protection programmes in humanitarian contexts.

Key responsibilities

• Support programme development, planning and management, ensuring delivery of results.
• Provide technical and operational support for implementation, monitoring and evaluation.
• Build partnerships and coordinate with government, NGOs and humanitarian partners.
• Contribute to innovation, knowledge management and capacity building within the Child Protection area.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in international development, human rights, psychology, sociology, international law or related social science.
• Minimum one year of professional experience in social development planning and management in child protection.
• Proficiency in English and Spanish.

Required skills

• Ability to conduct research and analyse information for evidence‑based programme development.
• Experience in planning, organizing and prioritising programme activities.
• Knowledge of programme monitoring, evaluation and results achievement.
• Coordination skills with government, NGOs and humanitarian partners.
