Contract Specialist

About the role

The Contract Specialist will support business growth by managing the full lifecycle of contractual documents that define relationships with customers, vendors, and partners. You will own contracts from drafting through negotiation to execution, ensuring compliance with company policy while collaborating closely with internal and external stakeholders.

Key responsibilities

• Draft, evaluate, and negotiate NDAs, Sales, Purchasing, Consulting, Licensing, and Partner Agreements.
• Assess risk, provide redlined recommendations, and drive consensus on contract terms.
• Partner with Legal, Finance, Sales, Product Development, and external parties to keep reviews and approvals on schedule.
• Maintain a comprehensive contracts repository with version history and supporting documentation.
• Assist in rolling out new contract management software and modernize administration workflows.
• Support the upkeep of Product Terms & Conditions, Company Policies, and Data Governance Policies.

Required profile

• Law degree (or equivalent legal qualification) required.
• Prior experience in the legal or contracts department of a US‑based SaaS company.
• Detail‑oriented with strong project and time‑management abilities.
• Analytical, solution‑driven, and comfortable exercising independent judgment.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills for cross‑functional collaboration.

Required skills

• Experience with contract lifecycle management (CLM) systems, e.g., Ironclad.
• Proficiency with CRM software; Salesforce preferred.
• Familiarity with data governance or data security considerations.
• Hands‑on experience negotiating SaaS contracts from both sales and procurement perspectives.
• Understanding of typical B2B sales cycles and commercial practices.
