Manufacturing Engineer – Automation

About the role

Aptiv is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer specialized in automation to lead the design, procurement, debugging, training, and start‑up of automated equipment for automotive production. You will work on cutting‑edge manufacturing processes that support safer, greener, and more connected mobility solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Ensure a safe work environment and compliance with automotive industry quality standards.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives across all automation‑related activities.
• Develop and maintain strong supplier relationships to accelerate service delivery and meet internal production targets.
• Oversee the full lifecycle of automation projects, from concept through production launch.

Required profile

• College degree in Mechatronics, Electromechanics or a related field.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in an automotive manufacturing environment.
• Intermediate English proficiency (level B2 or higher).

Required skills

• Intermediate to advanced PLC programming.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite.
• Basic knowledge of vision inspection systems.
