Remote Accounting Manager

About the role

We are seeking a Remote Accounting Manager to take full ownership of the accounting function for a fast‑growing education platform. The role will support the company’s expansion from 11 to 50 locations and help scale revenue from $20M to $60M+.

Key responsibilities

• Own the full‑cycle month‑end close, achieving a 5‑7 day close timeline.
• Prepare and review journal entries with complete documentation.
• Manage vendor onboarding, procurement, and payables, serving as the primary point of contact for payment inquiries.
• Identify and improve finance systems and processes that will not scale, delivering a roadmap within 90 days.
• Lead the finance function through its first external audit, leveraging prior audit‑readiness experience.

Required profile

• Proven experience in full‑cycle accounting and month‑end close.
• Strong vendor and payables management background.
• Demonstrated ability to design and implement finance system improvements.
• Experience preparing for or participating in external audits.
• Comfortable working remotely with a minimum of 4 hours overlap with US business hours.
