Senior Apache Spark Engineer (Remote)

About the role

We are looking for a Senior Apache Spark Engineer to design and develop high‑performance data processing applications that handle massive datasets. The role is fully remote and involves collaborating with engineering teams to build scalable backend architectures and reliable distributed systems.

Key responsibilities

• Architect and implement distributed data processing applications using Apache Spark.
• Develop and optimise robust backend services and scalable distributed architectures with Java.
• Build and maintain continuous integration and deployment pipelines to automate software delivery.
• Design containerised solutions and leverage cloud‑native services for reliable deployments.
• Establish automated testing frameworks to ensure code quality and pipeline stability.

Required profile

• 5+ years of experience in software engineering or a related field.
• Proven expertise in Apache Spark for large‑scale data processing.
• Strong hands‑on experience with advanced Java development and distributed systems.
• Solid understanding of automated testing, CI/CD, and containerisation.
• Experience with cloud‑native development and backend architectures.
• Advanced proficiency in English.
