Senior Sanity & Next.js Developer (Remote – LATAM)

About the role

We are looking for a senior developer to join WorkO3 World’s remote team and help deliver large‑scale headless CMS projects for LATAM‑based clients. The role focuses on building and extending Sanity content back‑ends and Next.js front‑ends, working side‑by‑side with our staff engineers on tight deadlines.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement Sanity schemas, including document types, objects, references, and Studio configuration.
• Build Next.js front‑ends that consume those schemas, handling GROQ queries, caching, and on‑demand revalidation.
• Develop and run migration pipelines to move content from legacy CMS platforms (e.g., Umbraco, WordPress, Drupal) into Sanity, including HTML‑to‑Portable Text conversion.
• Maintain redirect maps for large‑scale migrations and ensure content models align with page templates.
• Translate Figma designs into production‑ready, responsive, and accessible components.
• Leverage AI coding agents to scaffold components, generate schemas, and automate repetitive scripting tasks.
• Participate in code reviews, sprint ceremonies, and client‑facing technical discussions as needed.

Required profile

• Proven production experience with Sanity, especially schema design and Studio configuration.
• Strong expertise in Next.js (App Router, server components, data‑fetching patterns).
• Solid TypeScript and React skills.
• Hands‑on experience migrating content from legacy CMSs at volume.
• Ability to write reusable ETL scripts and make them re‑runnable.
• Comfort reading Figma files and implementing designs without exhaustive specifications.
• Clear written communication for asynchronous coordination.
