Accounts Payable Specialist

About the role

The Accounts Payable Specialist will join our finance team in Tegucigalpa, working on‑site to manage vendor invoices and a high volume of medical lien accounts. You will ensure accurate, timely payments while supporting month‑end closing activities and maintaining organized financial records.

Key responsibilities

• Process vendor invoices, verify supporting documentation, and ensure timely payments.
• Reconcile accounts payable transactions and prepare expense reports.
• Assist with month‑end closing and maintain organized financial records.
• Manage a high volume of medical lien accounts, tracking case status with California law firms.
• Perform daily outbound calls and emails to attorneys to obtain up‑to‑date case information.
• Update personal and team tracking sheets daily to ensure accurate projected receivables.
• Collaborate with internal departments to gather required information and resolve invoice discrepancies.
• Adhere to company policies and relevant accounting standards.

Required profile

• Associate’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field, or equivalent experience.
• Minimum 1 year of accounts payable experience in a professional environment.
• Demonstrated experience in both accounts payable and accounts receivable functions.
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving and documentation skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to multitask in a fast‑paced setting.
