APQP Engineer – Production Release & Validation

About the role

Join Lear Corporation as an APQP Engineer at the Naco Plant in Santa Barbara. You will lead early‑stage planning to improve product release processes, boost quality, and increase customer satisfaction for new products.

Key responsibilities

• Ensure release and validation of production lines from prototype through launch phases and manage engineering changes.
• Coordinate planning meetings, monitor auditor launch files, and track PPAP and PSW approvals.
• Request and manage IMDS and PPAP documentation for components across programs.
• Oversee launch runs, sample production, and master part releases.
• Drive corrective‑action implementation with multifunctional teams.
• Occasionally work overtime, weekends, and 2nd‑shift schedules as needed.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering or a related field.
• At least 1 year of experience in an APQP or product release role (preferred).
• Bilingual proficiency in Spanish and English.
• Strong analytical, communication, and organizational abilities.
