About the role

Médicos Sin Fronteras (MSF) is seeking a Nursing Assistant to join its team in San Pedro Sula, Honduras. The position starts on 1 October 2026 and is initially a three‑month fixed‑term contract with the possibility of extension. The role supports the delivery of dignified, confidential, and stigma‑free health services to vulnerable populations.

Key responsibilities

• Receive all service users, ensuring respectful, confidential, and non‑discriminatory treatment.
• Facilitate patient access and follow‑up, maintaining a fluid, organized, safe, and timely care circuit.
• Assist in opening, updating, organizing, and safeguarding patient records to ensure continuity and quality of care.
• Support referral and follow‑up of users according to their needs.
• Enter accurate and timely information into institutional platforms, guaranteeing data quality and confidentiality.
• Participate actively in meetings, trainings, and learning sessions to strengthen competencies.
• Provide health‑education activities that promote prevention, self‑care, and healthy habits.
• Enter and maintain daily data in Kobo and VICIT, search for missing data, and keep records orderly and confidential.
• Report any data‑entry issues to the supervisor and meet monthly data‑submission deadlines.
• Perform any other tasks requested by the supervisor within the scope of the role.

Required profile

• Education or training in nursing assistance or a related health field.
• Ability to work respectfully with diverse populations, including LGBTQ+, indigenous, Afro‑descendant, women, and persons with disabilities.
• Commitment to confidentiality, data protection, and ethical standards.

Required skills

• Data entry using Kobo platform.
• Data entry using VICIT platform.
