Claims Manager (Personal Injury)

About the role

We are looking for a proactive and detail‑oriented Claims Manager to oversee coverage, carriers, billing and lien management for personal injury cases. Working in a two‑person pod with a Case Manager, you will identify all available insurance, build comprehensive damage records and protect the client’s net recovery through precise, persistent follow‑up.

Key responsibilities

• Serve as the primary point of contact for insurance carriers, maintaining up‑to‑date adjuster information, logging correspondence and tracking claim statuses.
• Identify all first‑ and third‑party coverage, including Med Pay, UM/UIM, policy limits and additional coverage under non‑named insured drivers.
• Protect client net recovery by early identification of health‑insurance, provider, government and workers’ compensation liens, setting up subrogation claims and disputing improper charges.
• Maintain accurate billing spreadsheets and management systems, confirming billed amounts, payments, adjustments and balances to the dollar.
• Prepare comprehensive damage records by ordering outstanding bills, obtaining property‑damage documentation, securing witness statements and escalating liability or coverage issues promptly.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum 2 years experience in insurance claims, personal injury coverage, medical billing, subrogation or lien resolution; adjuster‑side experience is a strong advantage.
• Solid knowledge of auto coverage structures and health‑plan/government lien processes.
• Strong numerical accuracy and comfort working with ledgers, billing spreadsheets and balance reconciliations.
• Proficiency with legal case management software (Filevine preferred) and Microsoft Excel.
• Bilingual English/Spanish preferred.
