Financial Aid Representative

About the role

The Financial Aid Representative provides front‑line assistance to students navigating financial aid and payment processes. This position ensures that inquiries are answered promptly, information is accurate, and students receive a supportive experience throughout their financial journey.

Key responsibilities

• Respond to student inquiries via phone, email, ticketing systems, and other channels.
• Guide students through financial aid procedures, required documentation, deadlines, and next steps.
• Assist cash‑pay students with payment‑related forms and explain standard payment‑plan options.
• Review student records in internal systems to deliver timely and accurate assistance.
• Document all interactions, actions taken, and follow‑up requirements.
• Identify cases that need specialized financial‑aid review and forward them to the appropriate team.
• Follow approved scripts, procedures, and confidentiality standards.
• Collaborate with Financial Aid, Student Accounts, and other departments to ensure a consistent student experience.
• Maintain accurate records while handling multiple inquiries and competing priorities.

Required profile

• Previous experience in customer service, education, or administrative support is preferred.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities.
• Ability to explain processes clearly and professionally.
• Comfortable working with multiple digital platforms and systems.
• Discretion in handling sensitive student information.
• Experience supporting students or working in higher education is a plus.
