General Accountant

About the role

The General Accountant will join Grupo BM’s finance team in San Pedro Sula, handling day‑to‑day accounting operations and ensuring accurate financial reporting for the company’s signage manufacturing business.

Key responsibilities

• Record financial transactions and maintain general ledgers.
• Reconcile accounts and monitor accounts payable and receivable.
• Prepare financial statements, reports, and assist with budgeting.
• Support cash‑flow management and ensure compliance with local accounting standards.
• Assist in audit preparation and tax filing processes.
• Collaborate with other departments to provide accurate financial information.
• Improve internal controls and contribute to efficient financial processes.

Required profile

• Solid knowledge of general accounting principles, financial reporting, and account reconciliation.
• Experience with accounting software and proficiency in spreadsheet applications.
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving and attention‑to‑detail abilities.
• Effective organizational and time‑management skills to meet multiple deadlines.
• Clear professional communication for internal and external stakeholders.
• High integrity, responsibility and commitment to confidentiality and ethical practices.
• Relevant education in Accounting, Finance or related field; certifications are a plus.
• Prior experience in corporate or industrial environments, preferably manufacturing.
