IT Manufacturing Manager – Honduras

About the role

The IT Manufacturing Manager is responsible for delivering IT services across all Gildan manufacturing facilities in Honduras, both owned and contracted. This role ensures continuous operation of critical production applications, infrastructure, and end‑user support while acting as the primary liaison between local plants and the global IT organization.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee telecommunications, server, network, and internal connectivity infrastructure at each facility.
• Support and maintain critical production‑floor applications such as JDE, DC‑Link, and Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES).
• Manage MES administration, standardization, optimization projects and ensure SLA compliance with suppliers.
• Coordinate preventive and corrective maintenance of IT equipment, including computers, label printers, scanning terminals, and IT generators.
• Maintain accurate inventory of IT assets and manage warranties across all plants.
• Develop and control investment and operating budgets for IT infrastructure, telecom, fiber optics, cabling, and security systems.
• Identify technology opportunities, prepare proposals, and lead local implementation of global IT initiatives.
• Collaborate with local and global procurement to purchase equipment and renew service contracts.

Required profile

• Systems Engineer degree or equivalent with manufacturing support experience.
• Approximately 10 years of customer‑service and IT support experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish.
• Strong problem‑solving, prioritization, and decision‑making abilities.
• Proactive attitude with the ability to work with limited information.
