Laravel & React Developer – Remote (Latin America)

About the role

Bluelight Consulting is seeking a seasoned Laravel and React developer to join its fast‑growing, fully remote team serving clients across the United States and Latin America. You will work on high‑impact projects, building modern web applications that combine robust back‑end APIs with dynamic front‑end experiences.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain Laravel (v8+) applications, including Eloquent models, authentication, and query builder logic.
• Build responsive user interfaces using React (or Vue.js/Laravel Livewire) and integrate them via Inertia.js.
• Develop and document RESTful APIs and ensure they meet performance and security standards.
• Write automated tests with Pest PHP, PHPUnit, Laravel Dusk, and Playwright to guarantee code quality.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams, participate in code reviews, and contribute to continuous improvement of development processes.

Required profile

• Minimum 4 years of professional experience with Laravel (v8 or newer).
• Strong understanding of PHP, object‑oriented design, and modern web architecture.
• Proactive attitude with the ability to take ownership of tasks and deliver on commitments.
• Detail‑oriented mindset and a positive, can‑do approach to problem solving.
• Comfortable working remotely in a fast‑paced, collaborative environment.

Required skills

• Laravel (v8+), Eloquent ORM, Laravel Authentication, Laravel Query Builder
