Service Engineer – Utility PV & Energy Storage

About the role

We are looking for a Service Engineer specialized in utility‑scale photovoltaic (PV) and energy storage systems. The role involves delivering on‑site installation, commissioning and after‑sales support for PV and ESS projects, ensuring projects meet delivery milestones and quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Provide on‑site installation, commissioning, trial operation and grid‑connection acceptance support for PV/energy storage projects.
• Troubleshoot, locate and resolve product faults during project and after‑sales phases, coordinating with R&D, quality and other teams.
• Follow on‑site safety regulations and commissioning quality standards; support quality inspections, rectifications and acceptance handover.
• Deliver on‑site technical training, operation guidance and remote technical support to customers, maintaining strong customer relationships.
• Collect and organize product issues and improvement suggestions, feed them to R&D and quality teams and track implementation.
• Prepare and archive commissioning records, acceptance documents and fault handling reports to ensure complete, traceable documentation.

Required profile

• Associate degree or higher in electrical engineering, automation, new energy or related fields.
• 3+ years of on‑site delivery, commissioning or after‑sales experience in PV or energy storage projects.
• Solid knowledge of high‑ and low‑voltage electrical principles and common commissioning/testing instruments.
• Ability to independently analyse and resolve on‑site faults.
• Strong communication, coordination and customer‑service awareness.
• Willingness to work on‑site in field environments.
• Valid low/high‑voltage electrician certificate or relevant qualifications (preferred).
• English at C1 level or above (mandatory); Spanish is a plus.
