Technical QA Associate

About the role

The Technical QA Associate acts as the gatekeeper of deployment stability for UJV’s travel‑technology platform. You will proactively validate software quality, manage test‑environment readiness, and streamline data setup to reduce release failures and free senior engineers to focus on architecture.

Key responsibilities

• Execute functional test plans to ensure new features meet TPM requirements.
• Perform exploratory testing to uncover edge‑case bugs that automated tools may miss.
• Document defects in Jira with clear technical details and collaborate with developers for resolution.
• Configure user data and system states in admin portals to prepare test environments.
• Define requirements for automated data‑seeding scripts and help turn manual setups into one‑click processes.
• Conduct daily health checks on testing environments to guarantee consistency.
• Provide rapid feedback to TPMs for Go/No‑Go release decisions.
• Maintain test documentation library and follow defect‑reporting standards.
• Identify manual test scenarios suitable for future automation.

Required profile

• 0–2 years of experience in a technical or analytical role such as testing, support, or product‑adjacent positions.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage data across multiple environments.
• Comfortable acting as a “power‑user” of complex software systems and admin tools.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Postman for API testing.
• Basic SQL knowledge for data queries and verification.
• Understanding of API fundamentals.
• Experience using Jira for defect tracking.
