Accounting Manager

About the role

Arvenda is seeking an experienced Accounting Manager to lead month‑end close, financial reporting, and general ledger processes across multiple locations and legal entities. This hands‑on leadership position is fully remote for candidates in Latin America.

Key responsibilities

• Own end‑to‑end monthly close for seven sites, including calendar management, journal entries, and on‑time reporting packages.
• Prepare and review both location‑level and consolidated financial statements under U.S. GAAP.
• Maintain balance‑sheet reconciliations for cash, revenue, payroll liabilities, accruals, prepaids, fixed assets, and intercompany balances.
• Implement accounting policies, fixed‑asset capitalization, depreciation schedules, and accrual procedures.
• Oversee general ledger, accounts payable, expense coding, vendor payments, and internal controls.
• Directly manage a team of three accounting professionals, assigning priorities and reviewing work.
• Collaborate with Operations, HR, Payroll, Billing, and leadership to resolve cross‑functional issues.
• Develop close checklists, SOPs, and internal controls to scale with additional sites.
• Improve workflows across QuickBooks, WellSky, Paylocity, and expense/payment platforms.
• Coordinate audit, tax, year‑end, and compliance support.

Required profile

• 7+ years of progressive accounting experience, including month‑end close, U.S. GAAP, and multi‑entity accounting.
• 3+ years of experience managing accounting staff with direct supervision.
• Prior experience with U.S.-based companies.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.

Required skills

• QuickBooks proficiency.
• Advanced Excel or Google Sheets.
• Strong technical accounting skills: accruals, prepaids, fixed assets, intercompany accounting, multi‑entity reporting.
• Excellent written and verbal English communication.
