Auxiliar Contable – Cuentas por Cobrar

About the role

We are looking for an organized, results‑oriented Accounts Receivable Assistant to manage the full cycle of IMERCO Honduras’ receivables. The role involves maintaining an up‑to‑date customer portfolio, following up on payment commitments, and ensuring accurate and timely recording of all transactions.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the daily accounts‑receivable portfolio.
• Monitor outstanding balances and analyze aging of the portfolio.
• Contact customers and follow up on their payment commitments.
• Prepare and send account statements.
• Record and correctly apply received payments.
• Reconcile balances and resolve discrepancies in customer accounts.
• Document calls, agreements and collection actions.
• Prepare weekly reports on recovery, delinquency and pending commitments.
• Coordinate with Sales and Billing to resolve claims, differences or pending documents.
• Support the preparation of accounting entries and monthly closes related to receivables.
• Provide temporary assistance in administrative and accounting processes during transition periods.
• Maintain accurate information to aid cash‑flow decision‑making.

Required profile

• University degree in Accounting, Business Administration, Finance or a related field.
• Minimum two years of experience in accounts receivable, portfolio recovery or collections.
• Experience preparing statements, applying payments and reconciling balances.
• Strong command of Microsoft Excel.
• Professional, firm and respectful communication with clients.
• Highly organized, detail‑oriented and proactive.
• Availability to work onsite in San Pedro Sula.
