Bilingual RN Care Coordinator – Virtual Medical Assistant

About the role

We are looking for a bilingual (English/Spanish) Registered Nurse or Nurse Practitioner to work remotely as a Virtual Medical Assistant and Patient Care Coordinator for an orthopedics, pain medicine and PM&R practice. The role blends clinical judgment with administrative support to manage complex patient cases and ensure smooth communication across multiple channels.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and organize high‑volume, complex patient files and clinical records with meticulous accuracy.
• Conduct warm, professional outreach to patients via phone, email and text messaging.
• Verify and coordinate insurance coverage, including Commercial, Personal Injury and Workers’ Compensation plans.
• Oversee provider calendars, schedule appointments and maintain an efficient clinical workflow.
• Apply nursing judgment to triage patient inquiries and streamline care without heavy supervision.

Required profile

• Active RN or NP license (mandatory).
• Minimum 3 years of hospital nursing experience.
• At least 2 years of experience as a Virtual Assistant or remote care coordinator.
• Fully bilingual in English and Spanish with clear spoken English.

Required skills

• Calendar management and appointment booking.
• Multi‑channel communication (phone, email, SMS).
• Insurance verification for Commercial, PI and Workers’ Comp.

What we offer

• Full‑time contractor role (40 hours/week) with a starting rate of $6 per hour, adjustable based on experience.
• Remote work schedule, Monday‑Friday 8 am‑5 pm EST.
