Control Engineer – Commissioning

About the role

We are looking for a Control Engineer specialized in commissioning to join an international energy project. The role involves on‑site implementation, testing and start‑up of industrial control systems, ensuring reliable operation in demanding environments.

Key responsibilities

• Program, configure and troubleshoot PLCs using Allen‑Bradley/Rockwell Automation platforms.
• Develop and test control logic in Studio 5000, including ControlLogix controllers.
• Integrate and commission HMI/SCADA interfaces and verify communication over EtherNet/IP, Modbus TCP/IP, ControlNet or similar protocols.
• Read and interpret electrical schematics and control diagrams to support installation and start‑up activities.
• Perform field commissioning, startup, and troubleshooting for control systems in power generation or industrial settings.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and provide technical support during prolonged field assignments.

Required profile

• Degree in Mechatronics, Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Control, Instrumentation or a related field.
• Hands‑on experience with PLC programming and industrial control systems.
• Proficiency in English (conversational) and willingness to travel abroad for extended periods.
