Delegado Médico – Nutrición Infantil

About the role

The Medical Delegate will promote Nestlé’s infant nutrition products to healthcare professionals and key stakeholders in the San Pedro Sula region. This position involves building strong relationships with doctors, pediatricians, nurses, hospital purchasing managers, and pharmacy directors while ensuring compliance with ethical and regulatory standards.

Key responsibilities

• Visit physicians, pediatricians, nurses, hospital purchasing heads, and pharmacy managers to encourage prescription of Nestlé infant nutrition products.
• Engage with Ministry of Health officials and NGOs focused on child nutrition.
• Maintain in‑depth technical and nutritional knowledge of Nestlé infant nutrition portfolio to provide accurate advice.
• Ensure all communications follow the WHO Code and local breastfeeding legislation.
• Participate in public tenders for formula supply to the Social Security Fund and hospitals.
• Track and control the regional visit plan and monitor product distribution at sales points.
• Conduct training sessions on infant nutrition products for Nestlé sales teams and customers.
• Achieve the required medical visit coverage for the assigned territory.

Required profile

• University degree in Chemistry or Pharmacy.
• Active registration with the national Chemistry and Pharmacy board.
• Minimum 3–5 years experience as a medical delegate or pharmaceutical sales representative.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, teamwork, and results‑orientation.

Required skills

• Knowledge of WHO Code on marketing of breast‑milk substitutes.
• Understanding of local breastfeeding and infant nutrition regulations.
