Finance Expert – Remote Contractor

About the role

micro1 is seeking experienced Finance and Accounting professionals to support a customer project focused on accounting operations, financial reporting, and ERP systems. The contractor will evaluate and improve AI‑generated accounting outputs and training data, ensuring accuracy and compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Evaluate AI‑generated accounting outputs for accuracy, calculations, journal entries, and treatments.
• Review and annotate financial statements, reconciliations, journal entries, and month‑end close workpapers.
• Identify errors, misstatements, and inconsistencies, providing clear corrections and rationale.
• Assess workflows and system logic across platforms such as NetSuite, SAP, Oracle, QuickBooks, Xero, and Dynamics 365.
• Apply rubrics to rank and grade AI responses, create realistic accounting scenarios, and deliver actionable feedback.

Required profile

• 3+ years of hands‑on experience in financial accounting, audit, bookkeeping, or FP&A with substantial accounting responsibilities.
• Proven experience preparing or reviewing journal entries, reconciliations, and financial statements.
• Prior paid experience in AI training, data annotation, labeling, or rubric‑based grading.
• Strong written and verbal English communication (B2 level or above) and ability to work independently.
