Front Desk Receptionist - Sleep Medicine

About the role

We are looking for a detail‑oriented Front Desk Receptionist to support a Sleep Medicine practice. The role combines patient interaction, insurance authorization work and administrative coordination in a fast‑paced environment.

Key responsibilities

• Obtain prior authorizations and verify patient eligibility through insurance payer portals.
• Educate patients referred by physicians on the sleep apnea treatment process and answer care‑related questions.
• Handle high‑volume inbound and outbound phone calls with professional customer service.
• Assist with patient communications, administrative coordination, and recall campaigns.
• Coordinate with the in‑office team to ensure smooth scheduling and follow‑ups.
• Document interactions and manage communications using Restful EMR and Weave VoIP software.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 years of medical office experience in Sleep Medicine, Pulmonology, ENT or Neurology.
• Hands‑on experience with insurance verifications, authorizations and payer portals.
• Confidence managing high‑volume patient calls with clear, professional communication.
• Ability to educate patients on clinical processes and set expectations after physician referrals.
• Experience with Restful EMR and Weave VoIP platforms is strongly preferred.

What we offer

• Full‑time contractor position (40 hours/week) on an EST schedule.
• Starting pay rate of $6 per hour, dependent on skill set and experience.
