IT Project Manager – Agile (San Pedro Sula / Panama City)

About the role

The IT Project Manager will join the Projects Department of the Information Technology division, overseeing the planning, execution, and delivery of technology initiatives. The role balances business requirements, stakeholder expectations, and technical delivery using Agile methodologies.

Key responsibilities

• Gather and align business requirements and project scope with stakeholder expectations.
• Plan, organize, and monitor project activities, providing weekly status updates.
• Resolve issues that affect system functionality and go‑live timelines with urgency.
• Document system errors with detailed descriptions and screenshots.
• Manage projects using Scrum or Kanban, ensuring milestones, deliverables, and deadlines are met.
• Maintain oversight of scope, quality, schedule, and budget.
• Prioritize backlog items, ensure clear acceptance criteria for epics, user stories, tasks, and bugs.
• Identify and remove impediments, encourage accurate time logging.
• Act as Scrum Master: lead ceremonies, facilitate collaboration, and track metrics.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Business, IT or related field.
• Excellent English communication skills; bilingual preferred.
• Minimum 3 years of project management experience and 2 years of leadership experience.
• Working knowledge of Jira, Confluence, Visio, and Microsoft Office.
• Scrum Master or Product Owner certification preferred; PMI certification preferred.
