IT Support Engineer – Global

About the role

The IT Support Engineer provides advanced remote technical assistance to Gildan users worldwide. This position focuses on complex, critical issues that require deep technical knowledge and elevated access privileges, while also driving automation and standardisation across the global IT environment.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee global administration of desktops, laptops, mobile devices, accounts and ticketing systems, ensuring scalable and standardised solutions.
• Identify, analyse and predict recurring issues using ticketing data, implementing proactive measures to prevent future incidents.
• Lead global LVL3 escalations, delivering comprehensive resolutions for multi‑region problems.
• Design, develop and integrate automation technologies to streamline IT lifecycle processes worldwide.
• Plan and execute global IT support projects, collaborating with cross‑functional teams to deploy new tools and technologies.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or a related field.
• Approximately 5 years of experience managing multi‑country user environments and complex issue resolution.
• Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish.
• Proven ability to understand and resolve inter‑dependent system problems affecting large numbers of end‑users.

• Database administration (DBA) experience.
