Medical Appointment Setter

About the role

UnifyCX is seeking a Medical Appointment Setter to join its team in San Pedro Sula. In this position you will handle inbound and outbound calls, schedule, confirm, and reschedule patient appointments while adhering to office protocols and HIPAA regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Answer and process after‑hours voicemails, making outbound calls and responding to callback requests.
• Confirm, reschedule, or cancel patient appointments, offering the earliest available slot.
• Schedule appointments across all offices, including new‑patient, follow‑up, consult, and cosmetic visits.
• Submit medical record requests to the appropriate department and transfer calls as needed.
• Manage referrals and prescription refill requests, ensuring surgical cases are routed correctly.

Required profile

• Minimum six months experience in appointment setting or customer service.
• Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish, with strong written and verbal communication.
• Excellent multitasking, attention to detail, and ability to prioritize in a fast‑paced environment.
• Dependable, able to work independently or within a team, and maintain confidentiality under HIPAA.
• Patient‑centered attitude with solid customer service skills.
