Product Development Engineer (MOL/VAVE)

About the role

The MOL/VAVE Product Development Engineer is responsible for maintaining and improving released products and their manufacturing processes. You will collaborate closely with project managers, operations, quality, sourcing, and product managers to sustain existing products from an engineering perspective.

Key responsibilities

• Design and draft engineering drawings and schematics using CAD and simulation software.
• Develop PCB layouts and create .stp files for production.
• Generate design concepts based on customer needs, budgets, and market research.
• Select product materials and define manufacturing processes.
• Participate in development team meetings to discuss product ideas.
• Test prototypes, adjust designs via simulation, and evaluate safety hazards.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering.
• Previous experience as a product engineer.
• In‑depth knowledge of SolidWorks, PADs, Altium or similar tools.
• Strong understanding of electrical codes and wiring diagrams.
• Experience with SAP or comparable ERP systems.
• Familiarity with ISO standards and engineering repository software.
• Hands‑on experience with 3D printing.
• Ability to work independently for long periods and travel to manufacturing sites (~15%).
