Remote WordPress Developer (Latin America)

About the role

We are looking for an experienced WordPress Developer to join our talent network and work remotely with U.S. clients on project‑based assignments. You will become an integral part of the client’s engineering team, collaborating daily with designers and engineers.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain custom WordPress themes and plugins.
• Integrate and configure advanced search solutions such as Relevanssi, SearchWP, ElasticPress or Algolia.
• Collaborate with UI/UX designers to optimise site architecture and navigation.
• Diagnose, troubleshoot and resolve complex usability and search‑related issues.
• Evaluate technical trade‑offs and recommend custom development or third‑party integrations.
• Contribute to CI/CD pipelines and ensure reliable delivery of applications.
• Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies and work on large, complex systems.

Required profile

• 4+ years of professional software engineering experience focused on web development.
• Advanced English proficiency.
• Completed four‑year college degree.
• Proven experience with custom WordPress theme and plugin development.
• Strong hands‑on skills in PHP, JavaScript, HTML and CSS/SCSS.
• Experience building WordPress search engines using plugins such as Relevanssi, SearchWP, ElasticPress or Algolia.
• Solid understanding of UX design, site architecture and content navigation.
• Ability to work independently, take ownership and thrive in remote, Agile environments.
