Senior Application Developer

About the role

Gildan is seeking a Senior Application Developer to define and document the architecture for new and existing applications, ensuring they support business continuity, scalability, and alignment with the enterprise architecture framework.

Key responsibilities

• Define development architecture for new applications and integration mechanisms, ensuring modularity, reuse, and flexibility.
• Document technology solutions, promote reusable components, and guide development teams through high‑level designs.
• Serve as the primary technical point of contact for vendor‑provided solutions, reviewing designs, implementation strategies, and go‑live readiness.
• Participate in Scrum teams, providing analysis, design, estimates, and technical documentation for development engineers.
• Collaborate with Business Analysts, Product Owners, and vendors to define architecture and ensure quality criteria are met.

Required profile

• Degree in Computer Engineering, Information Systems or related field; Master’s in Software Architecture preferred.
• At least three years leading solution architecture initiatives and three years of .NET development experience.
• Minimum five years of systems analysis and design experience.
• Experience with service‑oriented architecture and ANSI SQL.
