Senior Investment Associate – Corporates

About the role

The Senior Investment Associate – Corporates will support IDB Invest’s “Originate to Share” model by originating, structuring and mobilising capital for corporate projects across Latin America and the Caribbean. Working within the Corporates Division, the role focuses on agribusiness, manufacturing, tourism and the digital economy, collaborating closely with the Regions Department and the Industries & Cross‑Cutting Themes Department.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and originate high‑quality corporate investment opportunities in target sectors.
• Structure innovative financial solutions and coordinate financing packages with global investors.
• Develop and maintain pipelines in partnership with country representatives and delivery units.
• Manage relationships with national governments, private sector clients and development partners.
• Provide analytical support for transaction execution and monitor portfolio performance.

Required profile

• Advanced degree (Master’s or PhD) in Finance, Economics, Business Administration or related field.
• Several years of experience in corporate investment, project finance or development finance, preferably in Latin America or the Caribbean.
• Strong understanding of the corporate sector, including agribusiness, manufacturing, tourism and digital services.
• Excellent analytical, communication and stakeholder‑management skills.
