Senior Software Engineer – Control Plane & Orchestration (Remote – Latin America)

About the role

We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer to join our client’s team remotely from Latin America. You will work on control‑plane and orchestration platforms, collaborating daily with designers and engineers to deliver high‑performance, cloud‑native solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Design and build large‑scale distributed systems and platform APIs used by multiple engineering teams.
• Create reliable, versioned RESTful APIs with strong idempotency guarantees.
• Develop event‑driven and message‑driven architectures supporting asynchronous workflows.
• Implement highly available backend services and manage multi‑tenant Kubernetes environments.
• Deploy and operate cloud‑native applications in production, including storage solutions (object, file, block, container).
• Provide observability through metrics, logging, tracing, and monitoring.
• Collaborate closely with Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) teams and apply Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and GitOps practices.
• Build orchestration platforms for distributed infrastructure, including air‑gapped or regulated environments.

Required profile

• 5+ years of professional software engineering experience, specifically with control‑plane and orchestration.
• Advanced English proficiency and a completed four‑year college degree.
• Proven experience designing large‑scale distributed systems and platform APIs.
• Strong background in Kubernetes (Operators, Controllers, CRDs) and multi‑tenant, multi‑cluster deployments.
• Hands‑on experience with cloud‑native production, storage technologies, and observability tools.
• Experience working with SRE teams and implementing IaC/GitOps workflows.
