Skilled Trades Recruiter (Forklift Technicians)

About the role

Henry North is a U.S. recruiting agency that places skilled workers for American companies. As a Skilled Trades Recruiter you will focus on hiring forklift technicians and mechanics for U.S. clients, working remotely from Latin America on U.S. Eastern or Central hours.

Key responsibilities

• Search job boards such as Indeed and ZipRecruiter daily, contact new applicants the same day, and revisit older resumes.
• Proactively reach out to technicians on LinkedIn and other platforms who are not actively applying.
• Screen candidates by discussing their experience with tools and trucks, and understand their career aspirations.
• Follow up persistently, as many technicians do not answer the first call.

Required profile

• Prior recruiting experience in skilled trades (technicians, mechanics, electricians, HVAC, industrial maintenance).
• Strong spoken and written English for daily phone and video interactions with U.S. technicians and hiring managers.
• Self‑motivated, organized, and able to work independently without constant supervision.
• Availability to work Monday‑Friday, roughly 8 am‑5 pm Eastern or Central time.

Required skills

• Familiarity with job boards (Indeed, ZipRecruiter) and professional networks (LinkedIn).
• Experience using an Applicant Tracking System (ATS).

What we offer

• Base pay of $1,800 – $2,200 USD per month.
• Placement bonuses of $250 – $500 per successful hire (average 3‑5 placements per month).
• Independent contractor status with up to 18 planned days off per year.
