Solution Architect – Data Integration (Part‑Time)

About the role

Applaudo is looking for a Solution Architect who will bridge finance and engineering to translate a complex subscription billing model into actionable data requirements. The role is part‑time and contract‑based, focusing on guiding stakeholders through a migration from a legacy accounting system to Zuora while maintaining clear communication and technical continuity.

Key responsibilities

• Translate Zuora’s billing model into data requirements for the integration team.
• Lead business analysis for custom billing rules, revenue recognition, and reporting not covered by Zuora professional services.
• Guide finance and business stakeholders through the transformation from legacy accounting to Zuora, providing step‑by‑step guidance.
• Interpret Zuora’s data model and billing logic to unblock the integration team, acting as a partial platform advisor.
• Facilitate decision‑making and trade‑off discussions with the controller and finance stakeholders.
• Maintain stakeholder communication and technical context during a planned handover period.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in a technical field or equivalent professional experience.
• Proven business analysis experience, including requirements gathering, process mapping, and gap analysis.
• Strong subscription and billing domain knowledge covering recurring revenue, invoicing, and payment lifecycle.
• Prior experience with ERP or accounting system migrations.
• Advanced English fluency for executive‑level collaboration with a US‑based finance team.

Required skills

• Familiarity with the Zuora billing platform (billing, revenue, CPQ modules).
• Experience with Google Cloud Platform tools such as BigQuery, Looker, and Data Studio.
