Job description

About the role

Blacksmith Agency creates websites and marketing programs for US clients. As a Web Design Systems Designer you will own the creation of client design systems, turning brand guidelines into reusable token architectures and component libraries that can be automatically processed.

Key responsibilities

Build token architecture in Figma using variables, modes, and semantic naming that our pipeline can read predictably.
Ship core component libraries that function across entire sites, not just homepages.
Document the system so developers or automated pipelines can execute it without questions.
Work across several client brands simultaneously, maintaining structural rigor while delivering distinct visual identities.

Required profile

4+ years of web design experience with demonstrable design‑system work in your portfolio.
Strong English proficiency and ability to overlap with US business hours.

Required skills

Figma variables, component properties, auto‑layout and variants.
Token architecture and semantic naming conventions.
Creation of core component libraries for large‑scale sites.
