Automation Engineer (Remote, Full-Time)

About the role

We are looking for a motivated Automation Engineer to own and evolve the automation ecosystem that drives key business operations for a fast‑growing SaaS startup. This fully remote, full‑time position offers the chance to design, maintain, and optimise multi‑step workflows that support lead management, CRM processes, reporting, and internal operations.

Key responsibilities

• Design, build and maintain lead automation workflows (intake, scoring, routing, enrichment, CRM sync).
• Manage Salesforce automation, including object relationships, field mapping, conversion logic and activity tracking.
• Create automated reporting pipelines for daily, weekly and monthly business metrics.
• Support internal operational automations such as candidate screening, meeting intelligence, calendar sync and credential management.
• Write, debug and document Python and JavaScript code within automation platforms.
• Identify improvement opportunities and propose scalable automation solutions.

Required profile

• 1–2 years of hands‑on experience building multi‑step, multi‑branch automations using Zapier, Make or similar tools.
• Strong knowledge of Salesforce configuration and workflow automation.
• Experience integrating AI APIs (e.g., OpenAI, Claude) and handling prompt engineering.
• Proficiency in Python and JavaScript for automation logic.
• Solid understanding of webhooks, API payloads, field mapping and error handling.
• Excellent troubleshooting skills and ability to work independently.
