Project WASH Technician – Santa Rosa de Copán

About the role

World Vision is seeking a Project WASH Technician to join its team in Santa Rosa de Copán, Honduras. The role will support the implementation and monitoring of water, sanitation and hygiene projects that improve the lives of vulnerable children and communities.

Key responsibilities

• Collect and analyse technical data for WASH infrastructure projects.
• Monitor construction works and ensure compliance with design specifications.
• Prepare cost estimates and budgets using appropriate software.
• Interpret and update project drawings and plans.
• Coordinate with community partners and local authorities.

Required profile

• University degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Environmental Management or a related field.
• At least three years of experience in water, sanitation, infrastructure or community‑development projects.
• Experience in technical data collection, site monitoring and budget preparation.
• Ability to operate 4×4 vehicles and motorcycles.
• Commitment to World Vision’s safeguarding policies and gender‑equity principles.

Required skills

• Proficiency with AutoCAD.
• Knowledge of WaterCAD and EPANET modelling tools.
• Use of budgeting or cost‑estimation software.
• Understanding of community drinking‑water systems and WASH diagnostics.
