Técnico/a de Proyecto WASH-BP

About the role

World Vision Honduras is seeking a dedicated Project Technician to support sustainable water, sanitation and hygiene (WASH) interventions in Yamaraguila, Intibucá. The role focuses on territorial diagnostics, community capacity building, and technical assistance for WASH projects.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct territorial diagnostics to identify water and sanitation needs.
• Strengthen community capacities for managing water resources.
• Coordinate with local authorities, municipalities and community groups.
• Provide technical support and monitoring for WASH project implementation.
• Facilitate training sessions on water, sanitation and hygiene practices.

Required profile

• Technical background in Social Promotion or a related field.
• University degree in Civil Engineering.
• Minimum three years of experience in rural development, water board formation, and water project construction.
• Experience working with community structures, municipalities and inter‑municipal associations.
• Ability to drive a 4x4 vehicle and a motorcycle.

Required skills

• Proficiency with AutoCAD.
• Experience using WaterCAD and EPANET.
• Knowledge of budgeting software for project cost estimation.
• Ability to operate a total station for topographic surveys.
