Benefits Client Specialist

About the role

The Benefits Client Specialist supports the Employee Benefits team by handling the implementation, administration, and day‑to‑day servicing of employee benefit programs. Working closely with account managers, insurance carriers and clients, the role ensures accurate processing of enrollments, changes and renewals while delivering high‑quality client service.

Key responsibilities

• Assist with the implementation of new benefit groups, including medical, dental, vision, life and voluntary plans.
• Process enrollments, terminations and benefit changes accurately and promptly.
• Present and explain benefit offerings to employees as needed.
• Maintain and update employee census data and benefits records.
• Support renewal processes by preparing documentation, updating plan details and coordinating with carriers.
• Communicate with insurance carriers to resolve eligibility, billing and coverage issues.
• Prepare benefit materials, summaries and client communications.
• Handle client service requests and day‑to‑day account management tasks.
• Track outstanding items such as applications, waivers and supporting documents.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and insurance regulations while maintaining confidentiality of sensitive information.

Required profile

• Bilingual in English and Spanish.
• At least one year of experience in HR, benefits, insurance or administrative support.
• Experience handling employee data, enrollments or records.
• Strong attention to detail and organization.
• Good communication skills for client‑facing or internal support.
