Accounting Manager (Remote, Roofing Industry)

About the role

Veta Virtual is seeking an experienced Accounting Manager to lead the accounting function for a fast‑growing roofing company. This fully remote position combines full‑cycle accounting ownership with strategic decision‑making in a dynamic construction environment.

Key responsibilities

• Own the complete accounting cycle for roofing operations, including reconciliations, month‑end and year‑end close, and financial reporting to leadership.
• Prepare and deliver monthly P&L, balance sheet, and cash‑flow statements on a reliable schedule.
• Manage job costing, work‑in‑progress (WIP) tracking, and percentage‑of‑completion revenue recognition for multiple federal projects.
• Oversee accounts payable, expense management, subcontractor payments, and vendor interactions.
• Integrate and maintain accounting tools such as QuickBooks Online, Bill.com, ClickUp, Gusto, and Ramp.
• Support external CPA during annual tax filing and ensure compliance with US GAAP.
• Coach and guide accounting support staff as the team expands.
• Partner with leadership on budgeting, forecasting, cash‑flow planning, and internal control improvements.

Required profile

• Minimum 6 years of full‑cycle accounting experience with U.S. companies.
• CPA license or equivalent local accounting credential.
• Strong knowledge of US GAAP and percentage‑of‑completion revenue recognition.
• Proven ability to work independently in a remote, fast‑paced environment.
