Carrier Sales Representative

About the role

We are looking for a highly communicative and detail‑oriented Carrier Sales Representative to join our fast‑paced team. In this inbound‑focused position you will interact directly with carriers, identify capacity, negotiate rates and secure reliable transportation options for freight that needs to be moved.

Key responsibilities

• Stay actively available in the inbound call queue throughout the scheduled workday to respond to carrier inquiries.
• Handle inbound calls, discuss load details, pickup/delivery requirements and evaluate carrier rates.
• Negotiate pricing when appropriate and provide the internal team with viable transportation options.
• Assist in booking freight with qualified carriers and maintain accurate documentation of rates, availability and booking details.
• Build and maintain professional relationships with carriers through consistent communication.
• Respond to carrier emails, follow up on requests, rate confirmations and operational communications.
• Communicate relevant information to the internal team in a timely and accurate manner.
• Maintain consistent attendance, punctuality and be available for overtime when needed.

Required profile

• Excellent spoken and written English.
• Strong verbal communication and conversational skills.
• Comfortable handling frequent phone conversations with carriers.
• Clear, professional and assertive communication style.
• Excellent attention to detail and strong listening comprehension.
• Ability to retain information, follow established protocols and workflows consistently.
